What is LubbDubb?

LubbDubb connects students with group fitness and wellness instructors. Our mission is to support independent fitness and wellness instructors by giving them an affordable platform to run their business.

It is our goal to uplift, a mostly female workforce of instructors, so they can make a decent wage. Many of them are struggling right now, as the boutique fitness ecosystem transitions. Your fitness and wellness instructors are often community leaders and support a healthy lifestyle for you and other members of your community. Therefore you won’t find heavily discounted deals, instead you’ll find quality offerings, and you can feel good about where you spend your dollars.

Independent fitness and wellness instructors can post their offerings within our marketplace and you can book drop-in tickets for one class or multiple classes in a series. As a student, you can also buy monthly unlimited class subscriptions for thematic virtual studios.

During COVID-19 most of the classes are virtual live-streaming or outdoor classes. For virtual classes LubbDubb will provide the virtual link in your dashboard after you book a class.

What is a Virtual Studio?

LubbDubb has designed virtual studios to meet the needs of Instructors and Students.

From a student perspective, Studio Virtual Studios are a collection of thematic classes, offered throughout the week, which students buy for a recurring monthly subscription of unlimited classes. They enable students to meet their fitness and wellness goals and keep a relationship with a coordinated set of instructors that have their best interest at heart. Search for virtual studios here.

What is the cost for a virtual studio student subscription?

$120 per month with 3 month commitment
$150 per month with 1 month commitment
$199 per month for a squad of 3 students (Friends and Family Deal)
*Your subscription will renew until you cancel your subscription in your dashboard.

How do I delete my virtual studio Subscription?

In your dashboard under settings/subscription you can cancel your subscription.

What is the cost of drop-in classes?

Each class price is set by the instructor, so they vary depending on the offering. You can get a discount when you buy classes in bulk. Each discount is set by your instructor, and you will see your savings on the check-out page. The first class is at full price, and every subsequent class you purchased in a series is discounted. Search for drop-in classes here.

Are there fees involved in using LubbDubb as a student?

As a student, when you book a class, event or virtual studio membership through LubbDubb, we charge a credit card processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30 on the total amount of the transaction.

Additional fees apply for international credit cards. We add 1% to the processing fee and an additional 1% if a currency conversion is required.

How do I register and pay for class or a virtual studio?

  1. Search for a Class or virtual studio
  2. Tap 'book'
  3. First time users: enter your credit card information
  4. Agree to terms and conditions
  5. Tap 'Pay'
  6. Invite your friends to join you.

Can I book a class or virtual studio subscription for a friend?

Yes, if you and a friend want to take a drop-in class together you can purchase for multiple participants at the time of booking. You will have to manually share the virtual link and password with your friend if they are doing class from a separate computer.

If you and a friend (or family member) want to participate in a virtual studio together you can choose the squad subscription for $199 for up to 3 people. At the booking checkout page you will be asked to provide the email addresses for your fellow squad members so we can send them the pod class information. We only take one credit card payment for squad subscriptions, so If you are going to split the cost you will have to do that outside of the LubbDubb platform.

How do I get the virtual link for my class?

LubbDubb sends an email one hour before the event start time with directions on how to join. Sometimes email servers do not cooperate, if you do not receive your email you can always find the virtual link and password (or event address) to your class in your dashboard. Your upcoming class information is always available in your dashboard.

What is the cancellation policy for students?

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel more than 24 hours prior to the class, you will receive a full refund of the purchase minus the credit card processing fee. If you cancel within 24 hours of the start of the class, you will not be refunded.

How do I cancel the booking for my class?

To cancel a class, tap My Events in your dashboard and then tap the cancel button next to the class that you would like to cancel. You will be refunded the class amount if you cancel outside of the 24 hour cancelation window.

How do I delete my credit card?

  1. Go into your LubbDubb dashboard
  2. Tap payment methods
  3. Delete the card on file

How do I update my credit card?

When you book a class you will have the option to add or change your credit card on file at the checkout page.

How do I delete my account?

Contact Us and we will delete your account.

Are there fees involved in using LubbDubb as a fitness professional?

Yes, LubbDubb charges a 6% processing fee for every ticket purchased.

How do I list one of my events?

  1. Register for a LubbDubb account
  2. Tap Create Event in the header of any page.
  3. To create your class choose a photo and enter all the details of the class: class name, style, date/time, choose recurring or single instance and add a location or virtual link and password.
  4. Choose whether you will allow late sign-ins or not.
  5. Choose whether the event is free or a paid event. LubbDubb does not offer donation based classes, or sliding scale pricing.
  6. Enter the class capacity. Make sure the LubbDubb event capacity and your preferred video conferencing platform capacities are congruent.
  7. Set your class price.
  8. Set your bulk discount amount.
  9. If this is your first time posting an event, we will approve your posting within 24 hours and send you an email.

Can I post pre-recorded classes rather than live-streaming?

Yes you can, but we ask that you add that to your class title and mention it in the class description.

Can I upload my own waiver?

No, you can not upload your own waiver but our terms and conditions does have a liability waiver clause that includes limited protection for instructors and the LubbDubb platform. However we do suggest that you have your students sign a separate waiver prior to taking your class.

How do I get paid after teaching my drop-in classes?

Within 2 hours after your class end-time your funds will be available to transfer into your bank account. For first time instructors you must connect your LubbDubb account to your Stripe Connect account. Stripe Connect is free and you can link your bank account to Stripe Connect in your dashboard under settings here.

What is the cancellation policy for instructors and studios?

There is no cancellation policy for instructors. However, we reserve the right to remove your classes if you are a no-show for classes. We understand that mistakes and emergencies happen, but if an instructor is unprofessional -- to protect our student community we may choose to terminate classes if necessary.

Oftentimes, students book classes at the last minute, so if you are not planning to teach a class we request that you cancel your class as soon as possible.

If you cannot teach a class that you have posted and you have students who have signed up, we encourage you to find a sub for your class or cancel the class and send your students a personal note.

How do I cancel classes?

Once you are approved, you can cancel classes in your instructor dashboard anytime before your class start time and students will be automatically refunded for their purchase.

Under the instructor tab on the left tap schedule. For individual classes tap the pencil icon next to the class title then tap cancel event at the top right. Please give a reason for canceling and confirm cancelation.

To cancel an entire series: tap edit series, then tap cancel series at the top right. Please give a reason for canceling and confirm cancelation.

To cancel an instance of a series: tap the view series link to expand all the dates in a series. Tap the pencil icon next to the class you would like to cancel then tap cancel class at the top right. Please give a reason for canceling and confirm cancelation.

How do I edit classes?

Once you are approved, you can edit classes in your instructor dashboard anytime before your class start time.

Under instructor tap schedule. For individual classes tap the pencil icon next to the class title then edit the necessary fields; then click save. Not all fields are editable. Please contact LubbDubb if you can not find the field you want to edit.

Can I update the zoom link each week for my classes?

Yes, you can update your zoom link and password in the edit class process whenever you need. See how to edit your link in the paragraph above.

Can I extend my event series?

Yes, in your dashboard under schedule you can tap the extend series button to extend your series out beyond the series end date.

Can I make my individual classes into a series?

No, you must create a new series.

Do you offer discount codes?

No, we do not offer discount codes.

How can I get my classes into a virtual studio?

Please contact us if you are interested in putting your classes into a virtual studio.
